I've enjoyed my time at HubPages, so far. I've already been awarded a HubNugget, even though I wasn't quite sure what it was at the time. I've found some hubbers who offer great information, and it's safe to say that if I follow you, then I'm genuinely interested in reading more of what you have to write.

Because I'd like to keep this writing distinct from my professional science writing, I won't post much more personal info about myself, but feel free to contact me directly if you want to find me on Facebook or Twitter.

A little bit about me: I earned a master's degree in molecular biology, and I am currently a Ph.D. student studying cellular biology and specializing in molecular medicine. I'll try to make the topics that I address accessible to individuals of all backgrounds. However, some topics may require a general understanding of biology and cell biology.

I  plan to write about mostly science and health issues, although I won't put any particular subject off limits. If there is a particular subject about which you'd like a scientific explanation, feel free to ask me and I'll write one up.

If you like what you see at HubPages, I'd encourage you to sign up, too.

I've become particularly concerned with the large volume of hubs devoted to alternative medicines and herbal therapies. As someone who works in science everyday, I find it especially repulsive when individuals propagate blatantly untrue information to honest people who are looking for health advice. One of my major preoccupations at hubpages will be to dispel many of the myths about the "benefits" of alternative therapies and other forms of medical pseudoscience for which there is no supporting scientific evidence.

I also have created the content for the molecular biology website How to Western Blot.
